भूगर्भ Interior of the Earth

भू गर्भ शब्‍द दो शब्‍दों से मिलकर बना है भू और गर्भ भू का अर्थ है भूमि या पृथ्‍वी और गर्भ का अर्थ है भीतर या अन्‍दर । अर्थात पृथ्‍वी के भीतर या अन्‍दर ।

पृथ्‍वी का व्‍यास 12742 किमी है और आकृति गोलाकार है। अर्थात पृथ्‍वी के केन्‍द्र से होते हुए एक सिरे से दूसरे सिरे तक यात्रा करें तो पृथ्‍वी की भीतरी संरचना का कुछ हद तक ज्ञान हो सकता है। क्‍या यह संभव है।

अभी तक प्राप्‍त ज्ञान के आधार पर मशीनों द्वारा ''बोरा सुपर कोला सुपर डीप'' बोरहोल रूस में 12.3 किमी की गहराई तक खोदा जा सका है। अर्थात यह पृथ्‍वी के व्‍यास की तुलना में अति अल्‍प है। अत: इस विधि से पृथ्‍वी के अन्‍दर की जानकारी प्राप्‍त नहीं की जा सकती है।

भू-गर्भ की जानकारी प्राप्‍त करने के लिए भूगर्भ से निकले पदार्थों की जॉच कर यह पता लगा सकते हैं कि वहॉ की संरचना कैसी होगी।

ज्‍वालामुखी का अध्‍ययन करने से पृथ्‍वी की संरचना का ज्ञान प्राप्‍त हो सकता है। ज्‍वालामुखी से निकले पदार्थों में गैस, वाष्‍प, मैग्‍मा(पिघली हुई चट्टाने) होते हैं जो कि पृथ्‍वी पर किसी छिद्र या दरार से बाहर आते हैं।

इससे यह निष्‍कर्ष निकलता है कि पृथ्‍वी के अन्‍दर तापमान अधिक है इस तापमान के कारण भीतर की चट्टाने पिघलकर द्रव रूप में आ जाती हैं। उपरी भाग की वे चट्टाने जो पिघल नहीं पाती है वे छोटे बडे टुकडों में  लावा व गैस के साथ बाहर निकलती हैं।

अत: ज्‍वालामुखी से पृथ्‍वी के उस भीतरी भाग के गर्म होने का प्रमाण मिलता है जहॉ ज्‍वालामुखी उत्‍पन्‍न होती हैं। 

लेकिन प्रश्‍न अभी भी है कि ज्‍वालामुखी कितनी गहराई में उत्‍पन्‍न होती हैं इसकी जानकारी नहीं है। अत: ज्‍वालामुखी से एक हद तक  पृथ्‍वी के अन्‍दर की जानकारी प्राप्‍त होती है लेकिन पूरी नहीं।

भूकम्‍प पृथ्‍वी के अन्‍दर होने वाली वह क्रिया है जिसमें भू सतह पर कम्‍पन्‍न होता है।

भूकम्‍प पृथ्‍वी के अन्‍दर उत्‍पन्‍न होता है यह जिस स्‍थान पर उत्‍पन्‍न होता है उसे भूकम्‍प मूल कहते हैं।

यहॉ उत्‍पन्‍न हुए भूकम्‍प का प्रभाव भू सतह के जिस स्‍थान पर सर्वप्रथम होता है उसे भूकम्‍प केन्‍द्र कहते हैं।

यह प्रभाव भूसतह कम्‍पन्‍न के रूप में होता है भूकम्‍प जितना अधिक तीव्र होगा भू सतह पर कम्‍पन्‍न भी उतना अधिक होगा।

भूकम्‍प केन्‍द्र से दूरी बढने पर भूकम्‍प की तीव्रता कम होती जाती है। भूकम्‍प मूल की गहराई जितनी अधिक होगी वह उतनी अधिक भूमि को प्रभावित करेगा। कम गहराई के भूकम्‍प भू सतह पर कम क्षेत्र को प्रभावित करते हैं। 

भूकम्‍प से तरंगें उत्‍पन्‍न होती हैं जो कि भूगर्भ के चट्टानों में से होकर भूसतह तक पहॅुचती हैं।

भूकम्‍प मूल से भूकम्‍प केन्‍द्र या भूसतह तक की यात्रा में ये तरंगें भू-गर्भ की चट्टानों में से गुजरती हैं। इस प्रक्रिया में चट्टानों का प्रभाव इन तरंगों पर पडता है जिससे इन तरंगों के लक्षणों में अन्‍तर आ जाता है। इनके अध्‍ययन से विभिन्‍न घनत्‍व की चट्टानों का ज्ञान हो जाता है।

प्राकृतिक और मानव कृत(आण्‍विक बम विस्‍फोट) भूकम्‍प से प्राप्‍त तरंगों के अध्‍ययन के आधार भूगर्भ को सतह से केन्‍द्र की ओर क्रमश: क्रस्‍ट, मैण्टिल और कोर में विभाजित किया गया है।

प्राकृतिक और मानव कृत(आण्‍विक बम विस्‍फोट) भूकम्‍प से प्राप्‍त तरंगों के अध्‍ययन के आधार भूगर्भ को सतह से केन्‍द्र की ओर क्रमश: क्रस्‍ट, मैण्टिल और कोर में विभाजित किया गया है।

क्रस्‍ट-

भूकम्‍प तरंगों की गति- उपरी क्रस्‍ट में P लहर की गति 6.1 किमी/सेकेण्‍ड एवं निचली क्रस्‍ट में 6.9 किमी/सेकेण्‍ड है।

भूगर्भ की संरचना- यह भूसतह से 30 किमी गहराई तक है। उपरी क्रस्‍ट का घनत्‍व 2.8 तथा निचली क्रस्‍ट जो कि उपरी क्रस्‍ट के नीचे है। दबाव के कारण इसका घनत्‍व 3.0 है। शेष संरचना समान है।  

मैण्टिल -

भूकम्‍प तरंगों की गति- उपरी मैण्टिल में P लहर की गति 7.9 किमी/सेकेण्‍ड एवं निचली मैण्टिल में 8.1 किमी/सेकेण्‍ड है। क्रस्‍ट से मैण्टिल में प्रवेश करने पर P लहर की गति में अचानक होने वाले इस परिवर्तन का पता मोहोरविक ने लगाया इस कारण इस सीमा रेखा को मोहो असम्‍बद्धता कहते हैं।

भूगर्भ की संरचना - भूगर्भ के भीतर 30 से लेकर 700 किमी की गहराई तक उपरी मैण्टिल का विस्‍तार है।100 से 200 किमी की गहराई पर भूकम्‍पीय तरंगों की गति मंद होती है जिसे निम्‍नगति का मंडल ( जोन ऑफ लो वेलोसिटी) कहते हैं। 700 किमी के नीचे 2900 किमी की गहराई तक निचले मैण्टिल का विस्‍तार है। स्‍पष्‍ट है निचले मैंटिल का घनत्‍व उपरी मैंटिल से अधिक है।

अन्‍तरतम (कोर) -

2900 किमी से अधिक गहराई की ओर जाने पर भूकम्‍पीय लहर P की गति अचानक बढ कर 13.6 किमी प्रति सेकेण्‍ड हो जाती है। इस सीमा को गुटेनबर्ग असम्‍बद्धता (Guttengerg Wechert Discontinuity)  कहते हैं। यहॉ से केन्‍द्र तक का भाग पृथ्‍वी का अन्‍तरतम है। इसे बाह्य अन्‍तरतम और आन्‍तरिक अन्‍तरतम दो भागों में विभाजित किया जा सकता है।    

बाह्य अन्‍तरतम (कोर)- 2700 से 5150 किमी की गहराई तक बाह्य अन्‍तरतम है। इस भाग में भूकम्‍पीय तरंग S समाप्‍त हो जाती है। जिससे इस भाग के तरल होने की संभावना है।

आन्‍तरिक अन्‍तरतम (कोर) - 5150 किमी से केन्‍द्र तक का भाग आन्‍तरिक अन्‍तरतम है  जहॉ भूकम्‍पीय तरंग P की गति में वृद्धि हो जाती है।

कोर की संरचना -  बाह्य अन्‍तरतम तरल और आन्‍तरिक अन्‍तरतम ठोस है। बाह्य अन्‍तरतम का घनत्‍व आन्‍तरिक अन्‍तरतम की ओर क्रमश 10 से 12.3 हो जाता है जबकि आन्‍तरित अन्‍तरतम केन्‍द्र की 13.3 से 13.6 हो जाता है। संभवत: कोर की रचना लोहे और निकल से हुई है।

External core - The outermost is at a depth of 2700 to 5150 km. The seismic wave S ends in this part. Due to which this part is likely to be liquid.

Internal core - The distance from 5150 km to the center is the inner innermost where the speed of the seismic wave P increases.

The structure of the core is the outermost liquid and innermost solid. The density of the outer innermost becomes 10 to 12.3, respectively, towards the inner innermost, while that of the inner innermost is 13.3 to 13.6. Probably the core is composed of iron and nickel.
